Q. Do the components of the various canopy structures require maintenance?

A. Whether it is the retractable awning system or fixed awning, the structure composed of aluminum or galvanized steel does not require any lubrication, lubrication or other.


Q. What are the different collections of acrylic canvas that we use for the manufacture of awnings, their warranty, lifetime?

A. The following acrylic collections, we guarantee 10 years on discoloration: Sunbrella, Dickson, Tempotest, Ultrasol, Telya, Tibelly. They generally have a lifespan of around 12 years.


Q. What are the precursors for maintenance, cleaning of my acrylic canvas?

A. Apparent dirt or loss of waterproofing, usually around 4 to 5 years of age, a cleaning by a specialist is recommended. A pale or very dark canvas, the dirt is more apparent than the lineages but the recommendations remain the same. Don’t forget, regular maintenance maximizes the life of your canvas. Don’t hesitate to ask your canopy consultant


Q. What are the recommendations for storing my canopy in the fall?

A. Your canvas must be dry when dismantled, stored in a heated space and protected from moisture. Please note that disassembly, storage and installation services are available 


Q. Automation or crank on my retractable awning?

A. The crank remains the most economical way to operate your awning. However, while it remains easy to use for small awnings, it is no longer really suitable for larger widths (greater than 4 metres / 12’0’’ in length). And even less if you have to manage several awnings at the same time.


Q. Are there several types of automation on the market?

A.

  • Motors with wall switch: they require a lot of work.

  • Radio/remote motors: The remote control is very convenient because it gives you greater freedom of movement and limits work.

  • Solar Collector: Can operate your awning from the first rays of sun

  • Anemometer: It interacts, as soon as the wind rises, your awning closes automatically to avoid the possibility of damage.

  • Rain sensor: Order your awning to fold up, from the first drops of rain.

  • Time setting: Allows you to indicate the hours you want your awning to be operated for comfort.

 

Of course, it is possible to combine several automations on the same installation.
